Submission of Abstracts

For consideration as a presenter, your 150-word typed abstract must be submitted online from Monday, January 26, 2009 through Wednesday, May 13, 2009. The IA reserves the right to limit submissions to one paper per presenter; acceptance is not guaranteed.

Your abstract must include concise descriptive content that explains the value of the information. Papers/presentations must be non-proprietary and educational in nature, not sales or product specific. They may include research, programs and case studies. You must also present your paper in English; translators are not permitted.

Presenters will be selected and notified by mid-June. Upon acceptance, each speaker will be required to submit a $250 publishing fee, as well as a complete written paper by September 20, 2009 for inclusion in the published CD-ROM proceedings. IA will retain $50 of the publishing fee, and reimburse the remaining $200 following the presentation of your paper at the conference in San Antonio. Should you fail to present your paper in San Antonio or fail to submit a written paper, IA will retain the entire $250.

As a benefit of presenting, you will receive a complimentary full registration to the show, which includes access to the exhibits, innovations in irrigation conference, keynote and general session, and a copy of the 2009 conference proceedings CD. Travel and hotel expenses will be your responsibility.

Copyright Information

If your abstract is selected for publication, the IA holds all right, title and interest in the paper submitted to the collection website. In turn, IA hereby grants to the author a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce and distribute the paper, including the right to sublicense the copyright in the published article, provided that each copy shall include the copyright notice appearing on the published article.
